But no one could catch centi, he had disappeared some where . The king , the queen , the blind princess all were in tears, the would be son in law would be hanged!
In the thieves kingdom , all the thieves and their king heard about the death punishment of the seven and a half thieves , they were furious. All the thieves invaded the enemy kingdom. They came by hundreds of boats. Every house was invaded , everything was stolen even the palace was ransacked. No one knew , how they entered the palace and decamped with everything. the royal family had to sit on the ground to have meals on banana leaves! The king ordered his police, intelligence department to catch the dwarfs but they could not locate centi.
Centi then came out from the grass laughing.
“Your majesty you have so many forces but they surrendered to the thieves. If you permit, I can chase them out from your city in no time”.
But what do you want in return?
“Princes”, replied centi.
“Look at the drawf’s desire! What else?”
“The palace cat”
“What else?
“Appropriate dress, diamond studded head gear etc”.
Remember , I have given you everything, but you will get my daughter only, if the thieves leave my kingdom, understood?” The king, thought, it does not matter if the blind daughter stays at home or leaves!
Fully dressed, centi tied the pumkin shell to his hairteil, seven barrel in his hand, the cat on his lap, left the palace on horse back. He headed for the city where thieves were still stealing. He let loose the cat, it would enter every house and eat up whatever good were in the kitchen, the women were distressed. There were chaos in the town, but was causing the damage was beyond their comprehension. The men stood guard on roads/lanes with whatever weapon they could gather. The women joined them with cooking utensils.
Centi needed support, he called out,”seven barred, seven barrel, why sitting on your lourel? Oh dear pumpkin shell, it is time to join the battle.
Seven barrel replied, “thought my barrels are narrow, can produce many thin, short arrows, this is enough to bring them sorrow” Many thin short arrows moved out of those barrels and plerded the body of the thieves and their lives.
The pumpkin shell also showed its might, it released hundreds of wasps from its hold, which bit every one blue and cold. The thieves ran helter and skelter to save their life. They left the kingdom and headed for their country. Centi chased them and finally caught hold of the king of thieves, “chain the slippery?” Centi tied him up and brought to the king.
“Oh king, now please give your daughter and my father , the wood cutter demanded.The king was mighty pleased. He not only gave his blind daughter to centi on marriage, he made him the king of his kingdom.He brought his father on a flower decked chariot and went to the forest to live like a hermit.
Centi took out the spit of golden frog queen and applied that on the eyes of the princess, ?? And behold, the princess opened her eyes and could see the world for the first time. Her joy knew no bound.
They celebrated centi’s coronation? The entire kingdom was sparkling with light and gaiety.The golden frog prince came with his wife, the black smith came swinging his long beard. Centi’s mother came, she was over whelmed with joy seeing her husband, son and daughter in law! Centi presented a golden Axe to his father. The king and the queen left for the forest after the son in law’s coronation. Centi used to discharge his duties as a king for half the day and the other half he used to go with his father to fetch firewood.
The lived happily thereafter.
